Legal Director at DLA Piper Illya is a Legal Director with the Kyiv office of DLA Piper and has over 9 years of professional experience. His work has involved structuring complex cross-border M&A transactions and debt/equity financings as well as landmark financial restructurings in the Ukrainian market. Among the clients that he served, are domestic and international financial institutions, major Ukrainian industrial groups and leading private equity funds. In October 2009 Illya has been recognized as one of top 40 M&A practitioners in Europe. The research was performed by Mergermarket to identify the top 40 M&A dealmakers aged below 40 from across Europe drawn from financial and legal advisory firms as well as private equity. Illya holds the Certificate of Securities Trader obtained from the State Commission on Securities and Stock Market of Ukraine in 2005. He is also an elected arbitrator of the Arbitration Court of the major Ukrainian stock exchange - First Securities Trading System.
